RV and Create!

Who has never heard of Netflix and Chill? It has practically become a way of life. I have definitely spent many a weekend binging an entire season of some show suggested by a friend, but something happened...music!  Since the summer, every weekend has been spent happily writing, recording, meeting with the producer, managing social media accounts (have I mentioned that I suck at that?), trying to figure out this darned software and equipment (got it right with the third mic!) and everything else that goes into starting up a music career.  That is what this is right?  I think so.

So here I am launching a music career, entering this unchartered territory, but VIRTUALLY!!! Yikes!!  I am so blessed to have a mentor who knows all of the ins and outs and has spent countless hours zooming with me, but this has been quite the experience.  First time in the studio, I was in my RV studio.  Oh, did I mention that I live in an RV and travel around the country with my husband, youngest son and new puppy? Yea, it's a thing.  So, as I'm recording my first single in a Cracker Barrell parking lot, trying to sing in between the trucks and laughter of families emerging with full bellies, and trying to navigate Pro Tools, upload to Dropbox and WeTransfer (for the first time), I can't help but feel proud.  Proud that I haven't given up and ran back to my comfort zone.   Proud that I decided to take the crash course instead of waiting until this pandemic blows over.  Hopefully I'll get a decent grade.  Even if I don't, I can say that I have given this thing 110%.

Time to go RV and Create!
