AND THEN THERE WAS VLOGGING

OH. MY. GOD.  I wanted to find a better way to keep in touch with my fanbase and allow them to see first hand exactly what goes into breaking into this music industry.  Of course, the obvious way to do that is YouTube.  I've made quick videos before for people at my church or for sharing a recent trip with family but none of that prepared me for actually vlogging.

First, I had to decide exactly what I'd talk about.  An introduction video seemed fitting.  Well doing that in the RV proved challenging.  With the pup at my feet and the 8 year old 4 feet away coaching me, the distractions were definitely there.  Not to mention the cramped set up complete with laptop, light ring, and cell phone (note to self, 1080X1920 not 1920X1080 - in other words turn the phone on it's side).

So there I was, ready to connect and dig right in (surely Oprah and Wendy's jobs aren't that hard), but I kept forgetting what I was going to talk about. I kept looking off to the side. I kept saying "well" and "so" and "anyway." Not exactly ready for my daytime talk show yet. Still I pressed on.

After the recording, which only took around 45 minutes for a 5 minute finished product, was over the real work began.  I use Adobe Premier Pro and while it may be user friendly, it ain't easy.  Cutting, looping, adding text, importing, shifting tracks, adding sound effects, syncing the darn thing (still haven't figured that out), getting the timing right, adding photos, adding color, just everything, took 10 hours!!!!!!!  I never thought it would take that long. I mean, a girl's gotta sleep.

Anyway (there's that good old transition word again), Mae-Day will be debuting on February 16th.  Here goes!
